總結:ABSTRAK In the conventional analysis of multi-storey structure, buildings are often assumed to be fully supported on foundation as the fixed-typed supports, in which the buildings are analyzed separately from their foundations and the soils. With the advancement of computer technology, the analysis with this assumption is considered no longer adequate, because in reality the buildings with their foundations and the soils will interact as a whole system of structure. Therefore, there will be considerable differences in the internal forces within the structure when the analysis is based on the conventional assumption, compared with those of the interactive analysis of building-foundation-soil system. The objective of this research is to investigate the variations of internal forces occurred in the elements of structure, when the analysis is performed conventionally in which the upper structure is assumed as separated from the foundation and the soil, and when the upper structure is assumed as an interactive system with the foundation and the soil, for various of structure configuration and foundation thickness. In this case, the results are presented as the ratio of internal forces obtained from the soil-structure interaction analysis and from the conventional analysis. From the results, graphical relationships are presented, and it is found that the internal forces calculated based on the soil-structure interaction are considerably different from those calculated using conventional method.
