總結:ABSTRACT In order to overcome corrosion problem of the crude oil pipe line from exploration field to Senipah station, TOTAL E&P INDONESIE uses a method called de-staging. De-staging is elimination of pump stages to lesser the head produced by the pump. But, the action is carried out without careful pre-analysis because of time limitation. In this paper, the author tries to suggest some alternatives, and the results will be technically evaluated and compared with the de-staging method. Those alternatives are slowing down the rpm of the driving electro motor, changing the impeller diameter, changing the vanes discharge angle of the impeller, eliminating the number of vanes, using valves, buying new pumps and rearranging units in operation. Evaluation is carried out by comparing the characteristic curves of each methods with the system head curve. The alternative which has working point closest to the operating condition expected is technically the best alternative. It is proved that de-staging method is not, technically speaking, the best one. Based on the analyses, the best alternative is slowing down the rpm of the pump driving motor by an apparatus called AC Drives, which digitally manages the input frequency of the electro motor so as to produce an rpm suitable to the need.
