Summary: | This work deals with an experiment of vertical counter-current gas-liquid flow in transparent tube with the diameter nJ 40,6 nun. The effect of the upward gas velocity on the wall velocity gradient is based on the electrochemical method. The measurement was conducted at constant liquid velocities and variable gas velocities. The gas was nitrogen and the liquid was in an aqueous solution of KCI, potassium ferrocyanide and ferricyanide. The liquid was injected and withdrawn through two porous section separated by distance 2720 mm. The results of the experiment were in forms of the time-signal and average value of the wall shear-stress, probability and spectral density. The wall gradient velocity or the wall shear-stress was nearly independent of the gas rate. However, near the condition where apart of the fluid flows upward the influence becomes important.
