Summary: | ABSTRAK
Two models, Model I and Model II, were proposed to describe- the relationship of corn yield to the rate of nitrogen and plant population. The models were developed based on a slightly modified corn population-yield relationship of Duncan (1958) with the inclusion of the behaviour of the coefficients in relation to the rateof nitrogen. Model I has a consistently better fit than Model U, and a lower rank of mean square of lack. of fit than ordinary and square root polynomial models. Model II has similar rank in comparison to the two polynomial models considered in the study.
