Description
Summary:ABSTRAK Blister blight on tea caused by Exobasidium vexan,c Massee is a major of economical disease to ihe tea industry included at .PT Pagilaran. Using clones with relatively resistant to the disease in an easier way to reduce the damage. The objective of this study was to obtain high yielding tea clones combined with resistant to blister blight fungus. The experiment was done at Andongsili, part of Pagilaran Estate. with an altitude of 1.200 meters above sea !viel on andosol soil type. The evaluation of 190 selected mother bushes was arranged on randomized completely block design (RCBD) with 10 sets and 3 replications. Simple regression and correlation analysis were also performed. Artificial inoculation was applied to evaluate the better resistant bushes. In regard to the number of blister, the results showed that there were significant differences among ihe selected mother bushes. Negative correlations were observed between number of blister with fresh leaf per hush and number of pubescences
