| Summary: | , Karimunjawa archipelago has a specific ocean resources such as sea garden, beautiful scenery and many variety of fish. An existing harbour located in the area would be developed to support activities related to the resources such as tourism activities, fishing industries and inter-island transportation. Unfortunatelly the navigation channel of Karimunjawa harbour is relatively shallow. Some inter island vessels and fishing ships maynot safely sail through the channel. This condition causes insecure feeling and poor safety. To improve this condition, an intensive study has been carried out especially related to the deepening of the channel and development of Karimunjawa harbour. Based on the study, the depth of navigation channel should be deepened to 2,40 m (LWS). |
