Summary: | ABSTRACT
Using the city of Port Harcourt as a case study, this paper analyzes some of the variables contributing to rural� urban migration. It also discusses some of the problems of migration and over-urbanisation �some of these problems are, namely: short supply of accessible urban land. high crime rates, property owners, unemployment. etc. The paper finally suggested that a critical assessment should be made to retard migration and over-urbanisation based upon one of the migration policies in Nigeria.
