Summary:ABSTRACT Experiment to evaluate the performance of some F, hybrids was conducted in field irrigation, Sukamandi (15 m above sea level), Subang, West Java, on the dry-season of 2003. The trial consisted of fourty eight F1 hybrids (30 indica x indica and 18 indica x japonica), two check F1 hybrids (Marc and Rokan), and four inbrid checks namely 1R64, Ciherang, Situ Bagendit, and 1R53942 was designed using Augmented Design. Data indicated that F1 hybrids such as 1R68888A/Maros, 1R68888A/Krueng Aceh, IR68897A/Situ Bagendit, IR58025A/Cisokan, 1R68888A/Code, 1R68888A/Situ Bagendit, and IR62829A/Cisokan showed yield superiority over the best check 1R64, with standard heterosis ranged from 29.57 to 41.43 %. Panicle number and panicle length contributed the most to increasing standard heterosis in grain yield. Among 18 hybrids derived from indica x japonica tested, IR68888A/KF6-9 and 1R68885A/Fatmawati were found to be the best hybrids. Keywords : hybrid rice, indica, japonica, standard heterosis INTISARI Percobaan untuk mengevaluasi penampilan beberapa hibrida dilakukan di di tanah berpengairan teknis, Sukamandi (15 m di atas permukaan laut, dpi), Subang, Jawa Barat pada musim kemarau (MK)2003. Percobaan yang terdiri atas empat puiuh delapan F1 (30 indica x indica dan 18 indica x japonica), dua cek hibrida (Mara dan Rokan), dan empat varietas inbrida yaitu IR64, Ciherang, Situ Bagendit dan IR53942 dirancang sesuai dengan rancangan Augmented. Data mengindikasikan bahwa hibrida-hibrida F1 seperti 1R68888A/Maros, IR68888A/.Krueng Aceh, IR68897A/Situ Bagendit, IR58025A/Cisokan, IR68888A/KF6-9, IR68888A/Code, IR68888A/Situ Bagendit, dan 1R62829A/Cisokan memberikan keunggulan hasil gabah di atas varietas cek terbaik 1R64, dengan heterosis standar antara 29,57 sampai 41,43 %. Jumlah malai dan panjang malai mengkontribusi peningkatan heterosis hasil gabah. Di antara 18 hibrida indica x japonica, 1R68888A/KF6-9 dan IR68885A/Fatmawati adalah hibrida terbaik.
