Students from other regions of Java who are studying in the universities scattered in the cities in Java may cause certain conflicts, especially those emerged as a consequence of lack of understanding of the Javanese culture. Therefore, their ability to adaptate local customs, including: language, art, food, and amusement needs developing so that a more harmonious relationship with the local people can be achieved in order to build a strong National Resilience.For that purpose, the investigator had met 1104 students from other regions of Java who are studying in five state and private universities in Malang town to see how far they had assimilated the Javanese culture, and the factors that influenced that assimilation.Data attained from the questionaire distributed to 138 students as well from interviews and observation say that: 1) students from other regions of Java do not highly appreciate the Javanese culture
