The study on the influential factors of working time of people in the age between 10 - 14 years in rural areas has the aims of 1. To know why the people in the age between 10-14 years decide to work in farm operation in rural areas. 2. To identify the influential factors of working time of people in the age between 10-14 years in rural areas. This is a case study using cross - sectional data the sixty respondents are the people of three villages, Buduran, Berbeluk and Lajing, Arosbaya district, Bangkalan regency. The location of the study is chosen purposely. The three villages are chosen because their people work in farm operation to earn their living, most of their people are in the age between 10-14 years, work in farm operation and the transportation to and from the location is relatively easy. The interview is used to compile the data by based on the questionaire made before and the data are also got from interrelated institutions. The data compile are analysed by using multiple regression and tabulation. Multiple regression analysed are used to know the socialeconomic factors influencing the working time of people in the age between 10-14 years. Descriptive analysed are used to know the reasons leading them to work. Based on the date found, it is known that the income of household head, his education status and the width of land he cultivates have bad influence on working time of the people. Meanwhile the number of family and the amont of the wage have good influence on it. The dummy variables, the status of land ownership, the types of farm operation and education status don't have influence on working time of people in the age between 10-14 years. The dummy variables, the sex has great influence on working time. It is also found that people in the age between 10-14 years decide to work because they willingly help their parents to get better living on the other land, it is their parents that force them to work to support their living.
