Summary:This research aims to study microstructure of a HP micro alloy as a result of stress rupture test and observe dislocation-carbide precipitate interaction. Specimens were examined using Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). The TEM observation showed that dislocations cut through carbide precipitates on stress ruptured specimens. In addition, there is no evidence of the dislocation loops around the particles as expected from the Orowan mechanism.
