Lead is one of the heavy metal in the air that emitted from vehicle emission that can be come into body by inhalated air and food/water also, and next into lung, blood and excretioned by urine and faeces. The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between duration, period, and location of work with urine lead content of city bus time register's officer.
The design of research is cross sectional and the number of sample were 32 people. The urine lead content is defined by method of Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS), while duration, period, and location of work are collected by interview.
The result shows that the most subjective complaint that felt by respondent are eye irritation and thirsty. The average of urine lead content in city bus register's officer was 0,15 mg/I with the highest content was 0,49 mg/I and the lowest was undetected. If this result is compared with threshold value of 0,15 mg/I, so 40,6% of respondents have had high content of lead and 59,4% was low. The result shows that there was no relationship between duration and period of work with urine lead content (p< 0,05) while the difference analysis according to work location mentioned that the officer's urine lead content in the bus station was higher (0,22 mg/I) than the officer who work in the road (0,12 mg/I) and the difference was not significant (p |
