Vitreus loss in one form of cataract operation complication. To prevent vitreus loss, Honan compressed the eye ball by means of Honan Intraocular Pressure Reducer during 30 minutes.
This experiment was done to decrease intraocular pressure by manual compression method during 2 minutes before incision. The intraocular pressure decrease after two minces compression. This decrease of the intraocular pressure was statistically significant. Sixteen mature cataract eyes were included in this experiment.
