The two e, . were conducted to study the effect of leaching and amelioration on chang1 chemical and rice growth in the add sulphate soUs of Kalimantan. SOU sampl~ the add sulphate soils UPT Sei Puntik, Barito Kuala, South Kalimantan. 1 experiment to study of leaching that has two factor treatments e.g. SOli ! (strong and weak reactive) and sources of water use in leaching treatment (bra . fresh water). The experiment was conducted by used Randomized Comple Design (RCBD) with six replications. The second experiment to study of ame after leaching on growth of rice that treatments were three factors e.g. soli source of water use for leaching, and kind of amelioration (manure of cow's, I, rock's phosphate). The experiment also was conducted by RCBD with three repli The result of experiment show that continuous leaching by step with I water was given leachetes (solution) more add up to pH 3,38 for soU weak read and up to pH 2,30 for soU strong reactive (RK). In this case low of pH was foil soluble of total addity cumulative and soluble aluminum. Cumulative of solub addity and aluminum was reached 101.05 and 25.45 cmol (+). kg"' of so reactive (RK) and 17.92 and 6.63 cmol (+). kg"' of soU weak reactive respecttve~ Rice growth on soU strong reactive are faced on severe add (pH 3,3-3,5 rice plant was dead. The brackish water leaching show to effect on rice gw better than fresh water espedally plant high and dry weight upper tru~ amelioration was effect on dry weight upper trunk a following e.i. manure ofl lime > rock phosphate respectively. SOU chemical analysis after ame' treatments or harvest show that effect of brackish water and manure on pyrtb contents has better on soU strong reactive than weak reactive.
