Description
Summary:The sex differentiation in the quail is a complex process of formation and involves many genes. One of the genes suspected of having a major influence on genital formation is DMRTI.This study aimed to see the level of DMR TI gene expression ir. the quail embryo The sample of the study was the gonadal tissue of quai l c:mbryos obtained from the fenile quai l eggs. Eggs ore incubated and mkcn daily to be isolated from the gonadal genetic matenaL Genetic material in the form of DNA was used for molecu lar sexing using CllDW gene. RNA was used to mcasurc the exprcss1on of DMRTI gene in quail embryo Measurement of gene expression on days 1-8 was confirmed by nnnodrop spectrophotometer The results show that DMRTI gene expression has differences in male and female embryos. DMRTI gene expression in male embryos ha. h ighl:r mtcnsiry than females. DJHRTI gene is also seen to have maximum expression in male embryo's agecl 3-5 days. Th1s DMRTI gene may have an unponant role in the process of genita l fonnation and differentiation of qunil embryos. especially in males.
