The objectives of this research wereto analyze the perception about pig farmingsystem changes from extensive into semi intensive of sub urban’s pig farmers in Kupang. The research was conducted in the the sub district Alak as a suburb in Kupang City, at the beginning of June to August 2016. The material used in this study were 30 respondents selected by purposive convenience sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire that have been tested for validity and reliability. Descriptive analysis was conducted to describe the characteristics and categories of variables influencing the perception of farmers. The results showed that the perception of pig farmers on pigs health indicators was 70% of good category. Environmental health indicators was 86.6% of good category,the economic indicator was 56.6% of good category, indicators of pig’s farmers convenience was 26.6% of good category, indicators of social relationship of pig farmers was 100% of good category and the pigs security indicator was 100% of good category. The conclusion of this study was the perception of sub urban’s pig farmer towards pig farming system change from ekstensive into semi intensive belongs to good category.
