Summary:Madura language has 6 vowels. 3I consonants. 3 diphtongs. and 8 clusters. Although the Madura language just like the Indonesian has 6 vowels. the vowels in Indonesian consist of Ia/. IiI. Iul. leI.la/. and 101. while the vowels in Madura language are Ia/. IiI. lu/. leI. la/. and 1)/. Madura language has 31 consonants, because between [k] and [?]. among [b], [d]. [D]. [g). m and [bh]. [d"]. [D"]. [g"]. 0"]. as well as between [t] and [T] there exist different phonemes. The diphtongs in Madura language are (lay I, loyl. and luyf) which can be found on the ultimate and penultimate syllables. The clusters can only be found on the second syllables. The phonotactics in Madura language are: (I) a stretch of vowels forming two triangle structures. namely li/-/u/-[a] and le/-/)/-[a]
