Summary: | Water quality status as defined in the Government Regulation is determined for the purpose of measuring fit for purpose of the water usage. Parameters used in the regulation are physical and chemical to fulfill human need. Analysis of stream water quality based on physical and chemical parameters often based on instantaneous data that do not reflect enough information on the impact of water quality on the organism living in the water. Therefore measurement of water quality parameters are conducted periodically to form a time-series such as STORET method, Pollution Index, and Water Quality Index. In this research, water quality status of Gadjah Wong river was conducted by observing the stream status ecologically by looking at the stream as an integrated water body with physical, chemical, and biological dimension. combined with multivariate statistical analysis through PCA by looking at the biological response to water quality status. By comprehensive observation, a better planning and management of the stream can be better developed. |
