Summary:As the development of technology, also developed a technology that is able to adopt the process of human thinking that is Artificial Intelligence technology. An intelligent system containing with knowledge and experience that is inserted by one or more experts into one particular area of knowledge so that everyone can use it to solve specific problems that are commonly referred to as expert systems. Expert system in this case is about health problems in toddlers and children. Therefore made a research for solve that. The objective of this research is to create intelligent systems that implement a J2ME method based expert system which can be used to assist in identifying common disease in toddlers and children early on. Thus, further treatment of the disease can quickly be done to improve work effectiveness and minimize the time because it is mobile. This system consists of 2 systems there are systems on mobile devices and desktop systems and can be updated via mobile devices and knowledge through a desktop that connect to the internet. Output produced a diagnosis based on the symptoms entered by the user and its treatment. The result of this diagnosis have a level of uncertainty derived from the weighting calculations. The amount of the composition of the weights for each stage of inspection is obtained depending on the experience of a doctor. This system is dynamic, with knowledge that can be added to updated all the time without making changes to the source code of the system.
