In 2007 Indonesia was in the third rank of leprosy case findings the biggest after India and Brazil, i.e. 17,682 cases. Case finding in 2007 was still higher than in 2002 (12,377 cases). At the Province of Jawa Tengah in 2008, the highest was found at District of Brebes (268 cases), District of Tegal (209 cases) and District of Pekalongan (131 cases). BCG vaccination gives protection as much as 80% at the age of 0-15 years old and 40% at the age of 0-4 years old. Some factors that can affect the prevalence of leprosy are, among others, contact with leprosy patients, sex, age, education, and occupation. Objective: The study aimed to identify association between status of BCG vaccination and the clinical prevalence of leprosy at District of Brebes, Province of Jawa Tengah. Method: The study was analytic observational with case control study design carried out at District of Brebes. Sampling used systematic random sampling technique with as many as 234 samples consisting of 117 cases and 117 control. Data were obtained through questionnaire. Data analysis used , bivariate with chi square and multivariate with logistic regression technique.
