This research is concerned with news discourse analysis about Pakistan military intervention against its government in TIME magazine. The objectives of this study are to describe structural elements of this news discourse. In line with the objectives of this study, it is recognized about how the journalist arranges the reality, tell the reality, write the reality, and emphasize the reality. The event or reality is written and completed with the trusted quotation sources and the information background in order to make this news strong. The news report of Pakistan military intervention against its government is very debatable, that is, between people who agree with and those who do not. By using this framing analysis, it can be recognized how TIME magazine packages the reality or event. This study is a qualitative study dealing with library study and using the method of text and document analysis. The source of the data is a news discourse entitled �Pakistan�s Army Flexes Its Muscles� in TIME magazine with edition on October 18, 2010. Some parts of this news that can be used as the objects of this study are headline and lead, body, and ending of the news. After getting the data, the researcher identifies it by selecting the data which appropriate with the objectives of this study. Then, every sentence of the data is categorized in framing devices developed by Pan and Kosicki (schematic structure, script structure, thematic structure, and rhetorical structure) which is based on discourse analysis approach developed by van Dijk. Next, the result of the data identification is analysed based on the objectives of this study. The result of this study is the frame of TIME magazine about Pakistan military intervention against its government that happened because the government dithers. TIME arranges, tells the event, and places the trusted quotation sources in an appropriate way and do not corner any groups. TIME also writes the reality by connecting every subtopic and using coherences and also substitution words. Finally, about the emphasis of reality, TIME uses the unique and attracting dictions, idiom, and figure of speech.
