ETD This thesis uses cognitive ethnobotany approach to find a cultural understanding of aspects of the interrelationships between plants Moronene and Nene with the tribal community life Moronene. By using semi-structured interviews using open-ended questions are semi open, this study aims to determine how the tribal knowledge of plants Moronene Moronene and Nene, and the extent to which knowledge is applied within the scope of their lives. This relationship is then translated by (1) Plants Moronene and Nene is habitat to live in the area of cliffs on the edge of a river or stream, relate to the lifestyle of the people Moronene more settled and settled in the area - a fertile and moist areas which are rich sources water main at the riverside. (2) Characteristics of plant morphology Moronene of stems, leaves and trees that are translated by the community through symbolic language is a depiction of the characteristics Moronene Moronene community life revealed in traditional ceremonies, through the application of philosophy, and the existence of kinship ties that not only exists among the people but also with immigrant communities. (3) The pattern of plant life and Nene Moronene groups similar to the lifestyle of the people as reflected through the pattern of settlement and are still holding fast to the traditions meliuha.
