Description
Summary:Indonesia is a nation with conventional railways, which still requires development by having the railway technology in infrastructures and facilities. Yogyakarta-Solo track is one of the popular tracks to the society in Indonesia with the length of 59.167 km and serves tens of trains per day. This condition will grow continuously because of the increasing popularity of railway transportation in Indonesia as well as the issues about the railways privatization. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the performance of the existing track by describing some related parameters. This research analyzed several related parameters on the track performance, such as track class determination based on the passing tonnage, existing speed services (comparison of travel diagram program and travel diagram actual), track condition by Track Quality Index, and efforts to find out the track capacity. Based on the analysis result, it can be concluded that the annual passing tonnage value is 17.282 million ton belonged to UIC 4, the average speed travel diagram is fewer than the average speed actual, the quality track condition by measuring train EM-120 with track quality index category obtained 47% is excellent, 48% is good, 4% is fair, 1% is in poor condition. The track capacity value is 177 trains/day based on the train travel diagram (Plan), whereas there is 130 trains/day based on the train travel diagram implemented.
