Description
Summary:In economics, crisis is one form of the change in a business recession. The crisis is a problem that often occurs in many countries. When we talk about crisis, there are some crisis experience by various countries, like inflation, declining foreign exchange rates, debt, and balance of payments deficits. This research aimed to analyze the crisis by using the Flow of funds, with a case study in the United States and Indonesia. The data used in this research are secondary data that obtained from Biro Pusat Statistik, Bank of Indonesia, and The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Wahington DC. Data that I used is for the four quarters in 2008 (during a recession). The result of this research showed that The Flow of funds can function as a means of support to determine the existence of economic events, especially the crisis in that country. But in Flow of funds of Indonesia, the available data are very limited than American Flow of funds, so it make to difficulty of analyzing the crisis in Indonesia.
