ETD An Air Force Base is a national vital asset which in peace and war must always be safe from all interference and threats in order to operate optimally and perform basic aircraft operations. One source of reference that can be applied in the effort to find out its strategic value as national vital object is a mosaic of small format aerial photography (SFAP). Considering that Indonesian Air Force Base mapping concerns more about geometrical aspect in presenting accurate information, photogrammetric approach is required to correct various distortions. This research aims at evaluating controlled mosaic-geometrical quality of SFAP photograph of Dinas Survei dan Pemotretan Udara (Dissurpotrudau), and conduct accuracy comparison towards mosaic product that has been the assignment of Dissurpotrudau. The outcome of this research was controlled mosaic of Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base through the use of ground control point (GCP) obtained through post marking of positioning determination method of DGPS NTRIP (Differential GPS Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol). DGSP positioning determination is intended for the instrumentation efficiency and optimization. This research carries out in following steps: perform inner orientation for each photo, identification of GCP, identification of tie points (TP) on overlap area between photos using Von Grubers rule, and finally perform Bundle Adjustment (BA). External orientation parameter for each photograph within a single blocks and map coordinates of TP tie point is calculated through Bundle Block Adjustment (BBA) technique. Parameter produced from BBA technique is used for Digital Elevation Model (DEM) extraction and orthorectification. Data analysis was performed by conducting accuracy measurement of horizontal positioning between SFAP mosaic point and ground checking point. Controlled mosaic produced during this research has met the product standardization of scale 1 : 9000. The comparison result showed that geometrical quality of controlled mosaic is better than Dissurpotrudau mosaic product. Hence, it can be used for military interest as well national development. Horizontal positioning accuracy of controlled mosaic produced Root Means Square Error RMSE of 4,2 m. On the contrary, RMSE horizontal positioning of Dissurpotrudau mosaic produced RMSE of 88,2 m, and therefore the appropriate scale magnitude required for this product is 1 : 159.800. Positioning accuracy improvement of controlled mosaic compared to Dissurpotrudau mosaic product is 419,80 %.
