Summary:Currently, Indonesia teenagers is undergoing an increase of susceptibility to various threat of health risks, particularly those dealing with sexual and reproductive health, including an increase of threatening from HIV-AIDS transmission by virus through unprotected sexual intercourse. Unhealthy sexual behavior among adolescents, especially premarital adolescent was more increasing. Overcoming efforts of HIV-AIDS were undertaken to reduce HIV- AIDS transmission rate, creating a conducive atmosphere or environment to reduce as many as possible the problems that became HIV-AIDS transmission. This research has purpose to find out the relationship and influence between socio-demographic, information and communication variables to HIV- AIDS prevention behavior by using condom to adolescents who had premarital sexual intercourse. The research method used is survey method by using the Cross Sectional Study Approach. Population in this study refers to SKRRI population in 2007 those were all Indonesia adolescents aged 15-24 years, who had premarital sexual intercourse with total sample 801 adolescents. Statistical analysis used in this study was the Chi Square (X 2 ) statistic and binary logistic regression, with Probability and trend seen from the Odds Ratio (OR), CI 95% and (p <0.05). The results show that there is significant influence between sociodemographic variables (education level, and residence area) and information variable (age of first premarital sexual intercourse, with whom the first premarital sexual intercourse as well as access to information about HIV-AIDS through the mass media) to the prevention behavioral of HIV-AIDS transmission by using condom in adolescents who had premarital sexual intercourse. The adolescent who do not attend the school, live in rural, the age doing sexual intercourse firstly under 20 years old, who had sexual intercourse firstly with boyfriend and not exposed to mass media, have tendency not to use condoms as prevention behavior of HIV-AIDS transmission. The behavior interventions of change supported by other communication and education programs to encourage healthier living, mass communication in the form of campaigns, dissemination of printing media, promotion of condoms as double protection, marketing of condoms to ensure the availability, affordability and the right way in the use of condoms is an effective way in preventing HIV- AIDS transmission..
