Government�s policy of regulating the even distribution of pharmacists was carried out by the issuing of Government�s regulation No. 51 year 2009 about Pharmaceutical Occupations. General aim of the research was to know the preparedness of Sumba Timur District Government for the application of Government�s regulation No. 51 year 2009 about pharmaceutical occupations. Methods: The research was a descriptive research with exploratory survey method. Dependent variable: Preparedness of Sumba Timur District Government for the application of Government�s regulation No. 51 year 2009. Independent variables: 1) preparedness of organization, 2) preparedness of funding, 3) preparedness of information management, 4) preparedness of human resources. The main instruments were the researcher, an interview guideline as a guidance to conduct an in-depth interview, and structured observation of non-participants. Data were then analyzed and triangulated to gain conclusion. Results: Sumba Timur District have 19 community health centers and 12 persons working in pharmacy.
