Description
Summary:Background: Tanjung subdistrict has the highest ranked cases of malaria in 2007-2009 of five subdistricts in North Lombok, due to its geographical conditions (it has many coastal lagoons where a lot of potential breeding ground for mosquitoes of Anopheline). Environmental management (Environmental manipulation) and biological (nile fish dissemination as predator) are the most effective and efficient ways to combat the malarias vector. Objective: To assess the effectiveness of nile fish and manipulation of the environmental to decrease the density of Anopheline larvae in lagoon. Methods: Quasi experimental design of experiments using double (multiple time series design). Non-probability sampling technique sampling with purposive sampling. Is said to be effective if 70%. The relationship between variables in the analysis by one way ANOVA 95% (α = 0.05), followed by Duncan 5% test obviously to examine the most influenced treatment. Results: lagoon combine Nile Fish and Environmental Manipulation (NF+EM) has effective influenced to reduce density of Anopheline larvae start from the week III(86.39%), lagoon (EM) effective in week IV (87.50%) and lagoon (NF) effective in week V (72.05%). The result of Duncan 5% test for those three lagoons treatment. There are real influenced of differentiation treatment lagoon to decrease of amount of Anopheline larvae density in lagoon (NF+EM) and (EM) compared to lagoon (NF) in week I-XII. While in lagoon (NF+EM) compared to lagoon (EM) has not real statically influenced of differentiation treatment. There are real influenced of differentiation treatment weekly for lagoon (NF+EM) and (EM) in a week I-III and there is not statically differentiation start from week IV-XII. There are real influenced of differentiation treatment weekly for lagoon (IN) in week I, III and there is not statically differentiation in week IV, V and VII-XII. Conclusion: Lagoon treatment (NF+EM), the most effective and has a major contribution in decreasing the number density of Anopheline larvae compared with the lagoon treatment (EM) and (NF) in Tanjung subdistrict of North Lombok regency.
