Description
Summary:A flood due to overflow of Progo River that occurred on March 4, 2010 has caused the shifting of Trinil Bridge pillar, particularly the first pillar from Payaman direction. Trinil bridge is the main connector from Secang to Windusari. There for traffic was diverted to other ways such as Secang-Bengkal (the Regency of Temanggung)-Windusari. This study carried out land-use changing analysis, hydrology analysis, and hydraulic analysis as flood causing factors. Land-use changing used the comparison of CNcomposite. Hydrology analysis of observed unit hydrograph and flood routing used the Muskingum method. Hydraulic analysis used the HEC RAS software. Results of the land-use changing analysis showed increasing CNcomposite in 3,2% in 20 years. Analysis on measured unit hydrograph 2006 and 2010 showed increasing CNcomposite in 2.7% that caused increasing discharge in 16,3%. In hydrology analysis, it was identified that discharge passing through Progo River at observed segment of the river was equal to 100 years return period discharge. Flood routing in hydrology resulted peak discharge at 1 km of the upstream of Trinil Bridge of 1076 m3/s. Hydraulic analysis indicated that the capacity of the river bank is 750 m3/s and water level at the bridge deck might reach up to 10 cm.
