Summary:Background: Anemia is measured through Haemoglobin levels, at the age of school children is still a public health problem in Indonesia, including in the area of the city of Yogyakarta. The prevalence of anemia in Indonesia is 14.7% and for Yogyakarta province is 20.9%. One of the main causes of anemia in school children was the incidence of worm infestation. Worm disease incidence and impact on children's mental growth and disrupt the learning process of children. Objectives: To study differences Haemoglobin levels in children of primary school with helminthiasis and children with no helminthiasis in the region of Yogyakarta city. Methods: This was an observational research with cross sectional design. The research subject as much as 288 elementary school children in the city of Yogyakarta.Haemoglobin concentration data obtained by blood sampling method Cyanmethemoglobin were carried out at the pramita laboratory. Data obtained the status of intestinal worms in children with stool samples in children and examined by Kato Katz method at the Laboratory of Parasitology Faculty of Medicine, University of Gajah Mada. Bivariate analysis with chi square and multivariate analysis performed with multiple linear regression test. All statistical analysis performed with significance level α = 0.05 and confidence interval (CI) 95%.
