This study aims to determine the potential biophysical and perceptions surrounding community in order to plan the development strategy of zoning as a study of the development of botanic gardens Baturaden in Banyumas district of Central Java Province. The method carried out by making plot Measure (PU) 20 x 20 meters with a sampling intensity of 2.5%, in each plot Measure (PU) was measured and the assessment include: (1) the calculation of tree diversity with Simpson index, (2) appearance visual landscape refers to the Bureau of Land Management, (3) depth of soil, (4) slope of land (5) soil erodibility (6) analysis of public perceptions about using a questionnaire, (7) and carrying capacity of tourism potential The results showed, diversity index (ID) is the 0.64 criterion level of visual appearance of the landscape with the suspension between 16-22, consisting of sloping ramps / wavy and slightly sloping / undulating, soil depth is included in the criteria being the high level of erodibility. From the results of the zoning division analize botanical gardens: A use zone consists of: (1) Public zone (2) zones, and other offices - Other (3) recreation zones (4) environmental education zones. Conservation zone B consists of: (1) zone plant collections (2) protection forest zone (3) zone of protected areas. Social carrying capacity indicates that until now there has not influence on social tourism and local culture. Communities around most of the positive appreciation, and hope that development can be done immediately.
