As one of the effective medium, television may not represent the real reality, but representations of selected and constructed and also formed part of reality. Oasis documentary program are based on issues related to the topic of social, economic, cultural, and environmental. This study focuses on how the representation of locality in Oasis Metro TV show program and how the ideological battles that took place in those impressions. This study aims to (1) obtain a description of the representation of locality in the Oasis program. (2) to obtain a description of the negotiation and ideological interests are represented in those program. (3) to obtain a description of socio-cultural conditions in society that influence the representation of locality in the Oasis program. (4) offers perspectives and analytical representations and negotiations related to locality in the documentary that is still rarely studied in Indonesia. The results provide some information, that television will always be a site for the offers, mobilize, and naturalize ideological interests are narrated based on the complexity of the socio-cultural issues in society. Television is not just the media to profit financially. Moreover, television with all its narrative and programs will bring back anything that exists in society, to then re-interpret them accordingly so that a representation that the products always offer meaning and ideological interests.
