University quality improvement at this point is most important. For the purpose of evaluation is needed, planning and good decision-making for executives in higher education with the information and be knowledgeable about the college. That information can be obtained by extracting from operational data already stored in the database. In this study the data warehouse design. Data warehouse is a database designed to save the relevant information in a centralized location to support the decision maker. Designing a data warehouse in University Of General Soedirman organization is to provide data that is easily accessible, consistent and integrated nature that can help the everyday operations in order to deliver good decisions for academic improvement. The research process is done by designing a data warehouse in an academic database using the Pentaho open source software. Pentaho Business Intelligence is a collection of applications that are free open source software (FOSS) and runs on top of the Java platform. Applications developed by Pentaho Pentaho Corp., based in Orlando, United States. The results of this study is to design a data warehouse for Executive Information Systems at the University of General Sudirman Purwokerto.
