Summary:In order to support government programs in President Decision of RI No 5 Year 2006 about the blueprint of National Energy Management for 2006-2025, it would require the development of old defunct power plant. One of them is Semporonan MHPP located in Pengadangan, Lombok Timur, because sourced of renewable energy. Former Semporonan MHPP designed with Cross flow turbine, and in this study will be designed with Pelton turbine, wich tipically have higher efficiency. Therefore it is necessary for the performance analysis of Pelton turbine with 2 nozzles, namely analysis for the angle between it nozzles. This study evaluate the defunct of Semporonan MHPP, both technical and non technical, than submit the alternative design including the electrical power utilization design. For performance analysis of Pelton turbine will be done by varying the angle between its nozzles start from 45 0 till 180 0 . Performance level will be shown by the power and torque value of the shaft, and also the voltage and current output of induction motor drove by the turbine. Electrical power produced by Semporonan MHPP planed will be managed with self management concept. The sources of capital mainly come from local community in form of money, man, material, land, that could being an investment of the community to Semporonan MHPP project and its utilization program, adapted to the local potencies both nature and also skills. The result of experimental test shows that the maximum shaft power yield by 8 th variation, and the power is 32,66 Watt that occur at 790 rpm of rotation. By analyze using 2 nd order polynomial trendline chart, the optimum power become 29,84 watt at 671,429 rpm of rotation. Performance test of turbine model coupled with induction motor yield that the optimum calculated power output is 3,41 watt, occur at 8th variation too. If its mechanical test result convert to prototype size, so that the shaft power will be 47,297 KW with 57,08% of efficiency and 50,677 of specific speed (Ns). With this value of specific speed and 40 m of gross head, the use of 2 nozzles is still possible and feasible.
