Summary:Biodegradable plastic is one of the alternative packaging made from natural polymer and environmentally friendly. The plastic can made from seaweed residue, chitosan or by mixing with the synthetic polymers that are environmentally friendly such as polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). The objectives of research are to know the characteristic and optimum concentration of seaweed residue-chitosan-PVA blend for producing of biodegradable plastic with the best quality and to know the biodegradability of plastic.
