Siti Hariti Sastriyani, S.S., M.Hum., ETD The struggle of African women descent in the aftermath of colonialism, became a reality in French society. African descent, became settlers and later settled in France, when traced its history has been started since the sixteenth century. By French colonialism in Africa, African peoples (black), regarded as a commodity bought and sold slaves. The rights of slaves, completely taken by thir patron (white) who have purchased them. Squeezed their energies to the interests of the industry, such as: agriculture, plantation, animal husbandry, mining, domestic servants, factory workers, and trained as a mercenary, and so on. This study has a theoretical purpose to reveal the struggle of African women descent in En Famille as a francophone literature by applying the subaltern studies Spivak. Researchers thought that using the subaltern studies for the struggle of African women descent are equivalent with the subaltern peoples struggles in South Asia. In reading Spivak against oppressed groups are deprived of their rights, understood as the representation of working class women in South Asia because they have been discriminated against and considered the subject of the silenced subaltern 'voice'. Lives of African women descent in France, placing them in an ambiguous position, because by law, economics, politics, and western ideology, subaltern as a lacking geopolitics determination. Marie Ndiaye use the word En Famille in the title of his work, for the embodiment of the word 'family' used by Ndiaye in demonstrating the common thread ties between individuals tale figure who plays the main character in the struggle of African women descent. Through Spivak and subaltern studies approach is supported by the opinion of the other figures on the subaltern and colonialism, the struggle of African women descent can be mentioned in En Famille, and proven that after the period of colonialism, the struggle has no ended.
