Summary: | This research on the economic benefits valuation of Paliyan Wildlife
Sanctuary Rehabilitation and Regeneration Project (PR2SMP) in Gunungkidul,
2010, conducted with the aim of identifying the benefits PR2SMP and economic
valuation of the benefits PR2SMP in 2010 (5th years project). This study mainly
used secondary data taken from previous research that are relevant. Primary data
collection was also conducted to complement the data missing. Step of research
begins with identifying the benefits PR2SMP, then quantify the magnitude of the
impact and value expressed in money (price), and the final step is to make the
analysis of the benefits of the PR2SMP.
The analysis showed, Rehabilitation and Regeneration Project of Paliyan
Wildlife Sanctuary economically benefit either directly or indirectly. Direct
benefits of rehabilitation projects such as: wage labor of rehabilitation,
intercropping land productivity, utilization trap wood, fodder forage utilization
(HMT), the fruits, the benefits of recreation and education, also other project
benefits in the form of flamboyant cocoon and grasshoppers. Indirect benefits
include: long-tailed macaque habitat preservation, the diversity of bird species, the
potential for water storage and carbon sequestration, legality into the area, and
conservation learning for the community. The total economic benefits value of
rehabilitation projects based on research results amounted Rp6.091.955.788, -
/year. The value does not include some of the benefits of projects that are not
