Description
Summary:Public awareness about waste management in general is still low. This has led to the waste management is not optimal. Because of the less savory odor reducing the beauty of the city, it can even cause an epidemic or disease nets. This problem is not independent of the behavior of students who have contributed to the trash as junk hoarder The urgency of this study was to develop a more in-depth study of the behavior of society as a source of household waste. Therefore, the necessity of applying to students through education on how to manage waste properly and be useful for environmental health The design of this study using cross-sectional design of the survey is a research method to study the dynamics of correlation between independent variables and dependent variables by collecting data at once in a while. Study respondents were high school students in country town of Malang. Sampling as many as 400 people. Analysis of research data using partial correlation techniques and multiple regression. The showed that : 1) the relationship between perceptions of environmental health (X1) with the beha vior of managing waste at the high school students (Y) obtained rates of 0,830 with p r = 0,000 (p < 0,05), them Ho is rejected and Ha accepted meaning that between perceptions of environmental health (X1) with the behavior of managing waste at the high school students (Y) there is a significant realationship , 2) the relationship between motivation net production (X2) with the behavior of managing waste at the high school students (Y) obtained rates of 0,771 with r p = 0,000 (p < 0,05) , then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted means that the motivation for cleaner production (X2) with the behavior of managing waste at the high school students (Y) there is a significant relationship , and 3) the relationship between perceptions of environmental health (X1) and motivation of net production (X2) together with the behavior of managing waste at the high school students (Y) F prince of 888, 766 obtained with p = 0,000 (p < 0,05), then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted meaning that simultanceous variables above there is a significant relationship. The amount of contributions from each of the relatively large contribution oreditor 100% given the perception of environmental health (X1) of 71,25% with the behavior of managing waste at the high school students (Y), and the motivation of net production (X2) of 28,75% with behavioral manage waste at the high school students (Y), Based on the weighted contribution above that the perception of environmental health (X1) is more dominant than the motivation of cleaner production (X2). From the results of the study concluded that: 1) there is a significant relationship between perceptions of environmental health (X1) with the behavior of managing the waste at high school students (Y), 2) there is a relationship between motivation net production (X2) to the behavior of managing the waste at high school students (Y), and 3) there is a relationship between perceptions of environmental health (X1) and the motivation of cleaner production (X2) together with the behavior of managing the waste at high school students (Y).
