Summary: | The expantion of West Lombok regency into North Lombok regency has not
done smooth, since the of the expantion, conflicts have akys arised in the area. this
research questions �how issues and conflict in the border district of North Lombok
and West Lombok regency Pusuk arised?�. This study used a qualitative descriptive
explorative approach.
This study found several other issues in the area which includes: (1) issue of
prosperity, (2) changing administrative boundaries, (3) tourism potential, (4) fight for
public sympathy, (5) border communities who do not want to know the limit problem,
(6) poverty and family prasejahtra at the border, (7) the presence of cross-border
activities, (8) community and government relations, (9) the rise of the merchant side
of the road at the border and (10) the existence of customary land on the border.
Further, the study also found that border conflict is not the only conflict in
the area, more fundamental is protest at the government's promise on the livelihoods
of the border people who have never done at the border. Three types of are found
which are: (1) intergovernmental conflict in the struggle for the functional areas, (2)
conflicts between communities and (3) the government in the development gap with
other regions and the border conflict between community and society in the status of
land and houses are not yet clear border. The research concludes that bias is not just
interesting Redistricting administrative boundaries, but more important to be
considered in its implementation such as the public prosperity, sustainability policies
and programs that already exist, so expect the government to make local knowledge-
based partnership involving the community in conflict resolution and provide more
attention to border communities. |
