The HTI project was funded using from<br /> reforestation fund. ADB loan and internal source. The objective of HTI project is to produce wood for<br /> sawn timber and pulp.<br /> To increase the productivity of forest land. the application of intensive silviculture is a must. One of<br /> the component of intesive silvikulture is the use of impoved seed. IHUTANI III has been actively<br /> cooperated with other research institutions to establsih seed orchards of Acacia mangium and Eucalyptus<br /> pellita.<br /> At the momentwe has been reengineeringour entire working area, including Pelaihari. It is intended to<br /> create our forest to become an economic unit which is autonomous without neglecting sustainable principles<br /> of forest management.
