Multisource Data Integration for Geological Mapping in Gharyan area, Libya

This study implemented the integration of optical (Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) and SPOT 5) and Synthetic Aperture Radar (ERS-2 SAR) C-band remote sensing data, and Digital Elevation Model (DEM) extracted from topographic maps (I :50,000) to improve the visual interpretation...

Most lithological and structural units are distinguishable based on their topographic form and spectral properties. The results discriminated different rock units and modified formation boundaries and revealed new geological lineaments. The results provided information about the tectonic evolution of the study area. Field work was done for groundbased verification of remote sensing data.
[Yogyakarta] : Departemnts of Geological Engineering Faculty of E 2009 Article NonPeerReviewed , N. M.
