Rapid diagnosis of TB disease is very necessary for the proper treatment and to break the cycle of disease transmission. Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method was developed for rapid detection of M. tuberculosis. In different studies PCRhas been used to detect M. tuberculosis with highly variable sensitivity. lfhe purpose of this study was to assessment of the 156110-PCR for detection of M. tuberculosis clinical isolates compared to the rpoB-PCR. Methods. Sputum samples obtained from TB patients who have been approved informed consent. Furthermore, culture M. tuberculosis from sputum on U medium. Subsequent, culture results a total 6 samples were examined by 156110-PCR and rpoB-PCR and then visualized by electrophoresis. Results. The results showed all samples of 6 clinical isolate of M. tuberculosis were positive by 156110-PCR (100%) and rpoB-PCR(100%).Conclusion. The conclusions are that both 156110-PC Rand rpoB- PCR can be used to detect clinical isolates of M. tuberculosis with a very highly sensitivity.</p> [Yogyakarta] : Fak.Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Gadjah Mada 2012 Article NonPeerReviewed , Pujiana Endah Lestari (2012) ASSESSMENT OF THE IS6110-PCR FOR DETECTION OF Mycobacterium tuberculosis CLINICAL ISOLATES COMPAREDTO THE rpoB-PCR. text. http://repository.ugm.ac.id/digitasi/index.php?module=cari_hasil_full&idbuku=3892 |
