| Summary: | The goal of economic development in a region is to achieve the welfare of
society, so the outcome of the development can be enjoyed by all the stratum of
society. However, the reality of economic development indicates the disparity of
development among regions affected by difference in natural resource deposit and
the demography of each region. The implementation of local autonomy opens the
opportunities for the regions to explore and develop economic potentials in a more
autonomous manner, so the disparity in income among people, regions and sectors
can be reduced gradually.
