Summary:Diabetes mellitus is one of chronical illnesses. Based on previous studies on this illness, people with diabetes are vulnerable to anxiety. The purpose of this study was to empirically examine the relation between religiousity and anxiety through self acceptance among people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This study involved 78 people with type 2 diabetes mellitus who were 40-70 years old. The data was collected using 3 tools of measurement which were Religiousity Scale, Self Acceptance Scale, and Anxiety Scale. The data was analyzed using Sobel Test mediation. The hypotheses proposed in this study were as followed: (1) there is negative relation between religiousity level and anxiety among people with type 2 diabetes mellitus, (2) there is positive relation between religiousity level and self acceptance among people with type 2 diabetes mellitus, (3) there is negative relation between religiousity level and anxiety through self acceptance among people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
