Chusnul Hidayat ETD In the process of making biodiesel in a batch or continuously , the existence of alcohol what remains in the system known can inactivate enzyme lipase so ethyl ester formed little. In the study is done synthesis ethyl ester oleic acid using fedbatch method. Research purposes it is evaluating influence debit ethanol in the process of synthesis ethyl ester of oleic acid with the fed-batch system using lipase from germination Jatropha curcas seeds powder freeze dried to determine the ethanol debit give conversion ethyl ester highest. Esterification reaction is done by adding ethanol into the system continuously at 5 levels of ethanol debits (debit 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 µl/min) for 24 hours. The system in the reactor of 150 ml of oleic acid, 150 ml isooktan and 45 grams of freeze dried germination powder Jatropha curcas with a moisture content of 25%. The reactor was placed in the top of the hot plate with temperature 30°C and rounds 120 rpm. The sampling gives 1 ml sample at the hours 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 to do testing. The result showed that debit ethanol affecting the speed of the formation of ethyl ester and convertion ethyl esther on the synthesis of oleic acid ethyl ester using lipase freeze dried germination Jatropha curcas. Rise in the ethanol debit from 20 µl/minute to 100 µl/minute will raise the speed of the formation of ethyl ester from 998,85 µmol/hour to 3613,98 µmol/hour. After the end of a reaction in the hour 24, the ethanol debit 20 µl/minute give the highest ethyl ester conversion which is 15.260,69 µmol and the lowest in the ethanol debit 100 µl/minute which is 1.114,96 µmol .
