The hypothesis proposed in the study was that tales containing emotional values may improve emotional intelligence of preschool children. The improvement of emotional intelligence of preschool children in the experiment group will be higher compared to those in control group. Emotional intelligence of 30 preschool children who were six years old was measured using children�s emotional intelligence instrument which was drawings containing themes and conditions related to children�s emotional intelligence aspects. The design used in the study was Nonrandomized Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. The data was analyzed using t-test to examine differences in gain scores of emotional intelligence of experiment and control groups, and the result showed t score = 21,23 with p = 0,00 (p<0,01). It meant that there was difference between emotional intelligence of participants in the experiment group and control group. Therefore, it was acknowledged that tales containing emotional values had influence towards improvement of children�s emotional intelligence.
