This research is intended to know what the social capital types in the community of people in Village Hininterlands of Jelok, Village of Beji, Subdistric of Patuk, Gunungkidul Regency and how the social capital work so they are able to overcome the problem of isolation communities in the village by settling a bridge. This is a qualitative and descriptive research. The result of the research find out that the social capital in Village Hininterlands of Jelok, Village of Beji, Subdistric of Patuk, Gunungkidul Regency is devided into two. The first is structural social capital that includes social community. The second is cognitive social capital. They are include the norms covered various traditions. Social capital, in addition, devided into social capital types based on the mayor element of social construction. The social capital that shows the reciprosity aspect is tradition of sambatan in Worker Community and Woman Farmer Community. The tradition of sambatan able to solve house ownership problem as the place used to live. Worker Community and Woman Farmer Community are able to overcome economical problem for their community and also for the other community in Jelok Village. The social capital that shows the norm aspect is tradition of gugur gunung, tradition of jagong bayi, and tradition of rewang. Traditon of gugur gunung can solve facilities problem in Jelok Village. Tradition of jagong bayi shows a great attention to person or family who get apprehensive. Traditon of rewang can solve the business of family when he/ she have a party. They not need to hire the professional worker to do that. Social capital that show the element of value are thradition of rasulan, Yasinan community, and qurban community. Traditon of rasulan is proved that able to unite the society in Jelok Village who ever become devided. Yasinan community is useful to give moral support to family who get a calamity. The Qurban community is the realization of pray and social care in Jelok Village who most of them in medium and lower social status. Those types of social values become the media to train the society to coordinate into a team with its roles inside so that they able to solve public problems. The most amazing are they able to build a bridge on Oyo River using their innate effort.
