| Summary: | The research aims to observe the cause of local wisdom neglect in
preserving the coastal living resources and the coastal living resources
exploitation in small islands in custom villages in Gorom Island�s sub-districts.
The observation objects of this research are three custom villages that neglect the
sasi, that are Kataloka, Ondor and Kilkoda in Gorom Islands. Gorom Island is one
of small islands that have its own culture in coastal area conservation, rich coastal
living resources, and a small island that has limited environment carrying
capacity.
The research shows that the local wisdom neglect is caused by several
