KONSEP CINTA HABIBURRAHMAN EL SHIRAZY: TINJAUAN HERMENEUTIKA TERHADAP EMPAT NOVELNYA

The objective of the research is to reveal Habiburrahman El Shirazy�s forms of love relationship and concept of love on his four novels (Ayat-Ayat Cinta, Ketika Cinta Bertasbih I and II, Bumi Cinta, and Dalam Mihrab Cinta). The research uses hermeneutic theory to comprehend signs or symbols which refer to the concept of love. The signs or symbols are located on words and sentences with connotative meaning which are afterward interpreted according to the researcher�s understanding. The analysis result of the research shows that Habiburrahman El Shirazy�s concept of love on his four novels is the concept of love with Islamic concept as its base. It can be verified by the forms of love that present image of relationship which is based on Islamic concept. From the explanations of every forms of love, it can be seen that Islamic concept becomes a platform in the implementation of interrelationship love either lovers relationship, family relationship, or friendship. The mentioned forms of love are as follow. First, unconditional love. This form of love has some parts, hatred-origin love, suspended love, splitted love (love that leads to polygamy), and match-factor love. Second, love with sad ending. This form of love also has some parts, belated love, momentary love, unrequited love (love that is not reciprocated), failed love, and hatred-ending love. Third, love for friends. Fourth, love by blood bond that has a mother�s love as its part. Fifth, love for pious people. From those forms of love either in general or specific on Habiburrahman El Shirazy�s four novels, Habiburrahman El Shirazy�s concept of love can be concluded. In the creation process of Habiburrahman El Shirazy�s concept of love, the five forms of love are selected as representations of other forms in order that Habiburrahman El Shirazy�s five concepts of love can be decided.
