A field study was conducted at a Cambodian university in Phnom Penh with 115 samples totally. The findings reveal that students from both commencing and continuing classeshad about the same levels of ILS in some standards (five information standards from ACRL used to measure students levels) and in other aspects a significant negative difference existed between knowledge reported by the participants and their performance on a skills test These results suggest that universities need to pay more attention to the learning of both undergraduate and postgraduate students by embedding this set of skills into the universitiesâ curriculum or courses.
